Founded in 2007, our family foundation is now in its third generation of real-world impact
Areas of Focus

CAPA recently broke ground on the Wrightsel Music Hall, culminating a years-long fundraising effort to renovate the former Central Presbyterian Church. The venue, located at 132 South Third Street, was built in 1859 and is one of downtown Columbus’s oldest buildings.
With a donation from the Wrightsel Family Foundation, the space, vacant since 2011, is being transformed into the Wrightsel Music Hall, a vibrant, state-of-the-art community arts space.
With demand growing for mid-sized venues, this new space will open doors for local artists, organizations, and audiences across central Ohio in 2027.

A Few Words From Brent
My father, Doug Wrightsel, started the Wrightsel Family Foundation 20 years ago as a way for our family to focus our philanthropic efforts. Over the years, as our foundation has grown, so has our ability to make a difference in the lives of more children in Central Ohio.
Now, as we enter our third generation of philanthropy, our family is committed to doing all we can to make a positive impact in the community that we call home.
